Following the positive response to her first small-group book club, Pleasanton parent & wellness coach Siah Fried is launching a second virtual conversation series designed for women navigating the growing pressures facing both families and themselves.
Called Beyond the Checklist, the 4-week series explores topics including pressure and perfectionism, parenting teens and young adults, emotional well-being, shifting identity in midlife, and redefining success in a healthier and more sustainable way.
“Many women are doing everything ‘right’ on paper, yet still feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsettled,” says Fried. “At the same time, they’re watching their kids struggle under increasing pressure as well. This group is meant to create space for honest conversations around both.”
The series is designed to feel less like a traditional book club and more like a supportive, reflective conversation space where participants can slow down, connect, and gain practical insight for real life.
Themes and ideas from Fried’s books, Redefining Success for Every Child and This Stops Now, will help guide the discussions, along with practical tools and reflection exercises participants can apply to their own lives and families.
Participants will also receive access to a bonus live workshop/Q&A session at the end of the series.
