MUSEUM ON MAIN ANNOUNCES ITS

2026 SUMMER SCHEDULE

Pleasanton, CA – The Museum on Main is excited to announce its summer programming for visitors of all ages! Beginning in June, the museum will offer FREE Family Days and FREE Walking Tours through September.

2026 Family Days.

On select Saturdays, June through September, from 10am-2pm, children, parents, and grandparents are encouraged to join the Museum on Main for FREE, hands-on demonstrations, crafts, and activities that relate to each month's theme. “Family Days are our favorite way to teach about Pleasanton’s history while providing fun for the whole community,” says Education Director Elizabeth Parker. The first Family Day will be June 6th, with the theme of “Rollin' through the Years” corresponding with the Hot Rod Row happening through PDA’s First Weekends on Main.

Upcoming 2026 Family Days:

June 6: Rollin' through the Years

Step back into the 1950s on Main Street! “Race” hot rods in the grass, visit the Main Street Diner, and “detail” your own classic car. Poodle skirts and bobby socks are welcome!

July 25: Horsing Around Pleasanton

Are you interested in Pleasanton’s horse history? Come “race” horses on the lawn, practice leather stamping, and toss some horseshoes. Gus, Pleasanton’s favorite Main Street horse, will be out to greet everyone.

September 12: It’s Fall Coming Back

Stop by and learn about Pleasanton’s long agricultural history! Make your own fall leaves, play crop ring toss, and pick a bushel or two.

2026 Charles Huff Free Walking Tour Series

Join the Museum on Main staff and learn about Pleasanton's long and varied history. The free walking tours are named in remembrance of local architect Charles Huff. He was dedicated to Pleasanton History, the museum, and the preservation of historical resources. He was our longtime supporter, serving on MoM’s board for several years. He documented and shared Pleasanton's colorful history through walking tours, articles, and his collection of historical resources. A portion of his memorial fund is dedicated to keeping the historical walking tours free for the whole community.

On the tour, attendees will explore Pleasanton’s various historical neighborhoods and learn about the architecture and backstories of some of the town’s most notable buildings. Tours begin at 9:00 am at the Museum on Main and last about 2 hours. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and a hat. You are required to sign up for a tour in advance on MoM’s website at www.museumonmain.org/charles-huff-free-historical-walking-tours.
