Owned by local restaurateur Ruggie Van Muijen—also known for his popular breakfast spot, Ruggies, which was a local favorite from 1984-2017, and his catering company, Simple Elegance Catering—The Growler has grown from a humble craft beer taphouse into a go-to gathering spot for friends and families alike.

Founded in 2014, The Growler quickly set itself apart by introducing a taphouse concept ahead of its time, offering an impressive array of craft beers to a community eager for something new. Over the years, the restaurant has become synonymous with beer events, bringing popular celebrations like Oktoberfest and Pint Nights that showcase the best local breweries.
