Marketing & Communications Manager
Reports to: President/Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer
Position Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Manager manages all Chamber communications, publications, and marketing initiatives. This role promotes events and programs, engages members, and strengthens the Chamber’s presence in the community. Responsibilities include print and electronic newsletters, digital media, advertising, and weekly member updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce the Chamber’s print newsletter (Business Connection) and *electronic newsletter: plan content, write articles, take photos, proofread, coordinate layout, and oversee distribution.
- Manage marketing and advertising packages: sell ad space, coordinate production, and ensure placement in newsletters, event programs, and other publications.
- Manage the Chamber website and social media channels; create content to engage members and promote programs and events.
- Produce weekly Monday Update emails and other member communications.
- Oversee annual printed member directory and distribute accordingly.
- Draft press releases, create flyers, and coordinate marketing collateral for events in collaboration with the Events & Sponsorships Manager.
- Participate in marketing strategy meetings and assist with initiatives to attract and retain members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Marketing and communications experience, including digital and social media
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with PC-based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Positive, team-oriented, and service-focused attitude
- Increased member engagement via newsletters, email, website, and social media
- Successful ad/marketing package sales and retention
- Timely, high-quality production of print and electronic communications
- Consistent and professional brand messaging
Hours and Compensation:
• This is a part-time position, averaging 20-24 hours per week.
• Regular schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Additional hours may be required for networking events and special activities. Flexibility is essential based on event schedules.
• Hourly rate: $35–$37, depending on experience.
• Paid holidays included.
• Vacation and sick leave accrue with hours worked.
