She pioneered its low-barrier, trauma-informed model, combining tiny homes with 24/7 support, case management, and vocational programming to help neighbors achieve lasting stability.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Curtis specializes in mental health, substance use, and chronic homelessness. She utilizes evidence-based, harm-reduction practices to promote healing and self-sufficiency.
Dr. Curtis earned her Doctor of Human Services in Leadership and Organizational Management. Her doctoral research on supportive housing for unsheltered individuals living with mental illness shapes the philosophy of Goodness Village, a recognized model of compassionate, community-centered housing.
