Love is in the air as Museum on Main prepares for the 15th Annual Wines & Valentines fundraiser on February 11 at 7:00 p.m. Because of the pandemic, this year’s event will again be held virtually instead of the traditional in-person event at Castlewood Country Club. The Museum on Main is partnering with PayBee and Charity Works this year to produce this virtual event, and Republic Urban Properties and First Republic Bank are the virtual event’s Sweetheart Sponsors.
The online format of this year’s event allows people from all over to participate without having to travel to Pleasanton. From the comfort of their own homes, participants will be able to enjoy the evening’s program, a live auction, a Fund-A-Need drive and some virtual games—all to support the programs of Museum on Main.
“While we will miss being in-person and the unique 2-bit quarter auction this year, we are excited for the unique opportunities a virtual event provides—and for those wondering what to do with their quarters, save them for our 2023 Wines and Valentines!” says Jim DeMersman, the museum’s Executive Director. The ticket price is $50 per person to attend the live event
Both the silent and live auctions have spectacular items this year. The silent auction this year is open to all bidders—not just event attendees—beginning at 6 a.m. PST on February 1 and running until 6:45 p.m. on Friday, February 11, just before the live event begins. The live auction will be held during the event and is only available to ticketed participants. Items in both auctions can be previewed (and in the case of the silent auction, bid on) in advance by visiting the event page at Paybee, which is also accessible through the event’s page on the Museum’s website.
The Museum’s Fund-A-Need campaign this year once again focuses on supporting children’s educational programs, such as MoM’s Preschool Reading Time, the Junior Volunteer program, school and scout tours, and Family Days. All these programs are presented either free or at a low cost to ensure the broadest possible participation from our community.
All of the additional information that you need can be found on the Museum's web site www.museumonmain.org. Please help us this year.
The Museum on Main is located at 603 Main Street in historic downtown Pleasanton. The museum’s galleries are currently closed to the public due to the pandemic. For more information about current exhibits and programs, visit the Museum’s web site at www.museumonmain.org or call (925)462-2776.
