Ages 8–13 | July 13–17 | 12:30–4:00 PM
Give your child an exciting summer experience that mixes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training with real, hands-on science! This distinctive half-day camp runs for one week only and pairs daily mat time with interactive physics projects that bring core concepts to life.
Each afternoon, campers train in BJJ techniques, drills, and skill-building games while also exploring the science behind effective movement. Through fun, build-and-test projects, they’ll investigate leverage and force—then see how those same principles show up in the techniques they’re practicing. It’s a smart way for kids who love learning to see how physics applies to martial arts!
The program is led by a PhD chemist and an exercise physiologist, so both the martial arts instruction and the scientific explanations are delivered by experts who know how to make learning stick. Kids finish the week with stronger athletic skills, sharper critical thinking, and plenty of “aha!” moments they can actually demonstrate.
What campers can expect:
- Safe, well-structured BJJ sessions in a friendly, supportive setting
- Creative STEM activities that connect physics and biomechanics directly to grappling
- Small groups with experienced instructors and a good balance of movement and focused learning
- A welcoming environment perfect for kids who enjoy martial arts and want to dig deeper into how it all works
What to bring each day:
- Comfortable athletic clothing (uniform not required)
- Slip-on shoes
- A filled water bottle
- A healthy afternoon snack
