PAL will hold its first show of 2024, the 16th Members’ Show at Museum on Main (MoM) called “Imagination Expressed 2024.”
This Members’ show is the longest of the year – it will hang for 60 days of which MoM will be open 44 days. MoM is in the heart of Pleasanton easily attracting foot traffic.
This is a unique show for PAL members in that each member can enter up to two pieces, either 2D or 3D plus case entries! This year the show will be judged by Jeff Dunn, and $700 in cash prizes will be awarded! Register early because according to what artwork can be accommodated, artworks with a later date of entry may be excluded.
So, start painting, sculpting or jewelry making plus remember to renew your PAL membership early! Let’s make this show a members’ show to remember.

Plan to arrive by 8 a.m. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with announcements and a blessing. We start out together, but you'll hike at your own pace. Choose a 4.4-mile route that includes a moderate climb to a scenic overlook that loops back onto the main trail or take a shorter 1.6-mile route for an easy, flat stroll. Combine both trails for a 6-mile excursion. Trail monitors will be positioned along all routes to help guide the way. Click here for trail information.
A complimentary barbecue lunch, sponsored by MCE Corp., will be served at our staging grounds at the Fiesta Grande Picnic Area at about 11 a.m.
Parking is included with your registration fee; a link to download your parking permit will be provided in your registration confirmation email; print out the permit and bring to the park (mobile screenshots are not accepted).
If you register by April 5, you get an invitation for early bird T-shirt pickup in advance of the event. This is the best way to ensure you receive your preferred shirt size. For those who sign up after April 5, a limited quantity of shirts in various sizes are available on a first come, first served basis at the park on event day. Shirts are provided as a courtesy and to promote the community spirit of this event; we cannot guarantee availability for those who register after April 5.

The Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative invites you to the 15th annual Community of Character luncheon honoring the Juanita Haugen Community of Character award winners. The luncheon takes place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Veterans Memorial Building, 301 Main Street, Pleasanton at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $45 per person.

These awards were established in 2008 to recognize Pleasanton citizens who model high ethical and moral standards of behavior and are dedicated volunteers contributing their time to our community. Candidates for this award should exhibit traits chosen by the Citizens of Pleasanton and Advocated by the Collaborative: Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Self-Discipline, and Responsibility.
This award is named in honor of a longtime community volunteer and Pleasanton Unified School District Board Member, Juanita Haugen. Haugen, a co-founder of the Pleasanton Community of Character program, believed that part of Pleasanton's success is due to its compassionate citizens, folks who exhibit good character traits and those people who volunteer throughout our community. Her vision was to remind people to model ethical standards of behavior within their communities, businesses, homes and to extend these traits outside our community as they travel and meet other people throughout the world.
There will be drawings at the luncheon to raise funds for the Juanita Haugen Community of Character Scholarships.

Bay Area Bike to Wherever Days 2024
Bike to the energizer stations at West Dublin/Pleasanton or Dublin/Pleasanton BART to pick up snacks, goodies, and a free limited edition messenger bag and t-shirt (while supplies last).
Gather up your employees and form a group to bike to the office, school, or wherever you need to go on Thursday, May 16, 2024, Bike to Wherever Day. The cities of Dublin and Pleasanton along with Hacienda and Veeva Systems are hosting energizer stations from 7 - 9 a.m. at the Dublin/Pleasanton and West Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations to welcome and celebrate cyclists by providing snacks and this year's limited edition bike bags and t-shirts, while supplies last.
In partnership with Alameda County Transportation Commission and Bike East Bay, the following bike safety workshops are available in Dublin and Pleasanton:

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Fall Tradeshow Mixer 2024 is set for November 13, 2024 and is hosted by the Pleasanton Marriott,
Companies and organizations can promote themselves, connect with local business and community leaders and grow their customer base by participating as a vendor in this table-top tradeshow. The event features food tastes from local restaurants as well as beer, wine and appetizers and the opportunity to network with businesses in a fun and interactive setting.

Secure your spot today before the vendor spaces sell out. We provide you with a six-foot table, you bring everything else for your table-top display. Vendors also have the opportunity to select their booth location on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the event beginning at 3:30 p.m.
