DESCRIPTION:October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Nearly every day\, we hear about criminals and nation-states launching cyber-attacks that could undermine our national security and cause wide-scale economic damage. We are now also hearing about thousands of small business owners who are having their client data held ransom and don't know where to begin. I want to try and fix that. \n\n\n\nAs the top Democrat on the House Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee\, I'm committed to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to ensure we're tackling this issue head-on. \n\n\n\nThat's why I am excited to announce that later this month\, my office will be hosting a cybersecurity summit focused on educating small and medium-sized businesses about how to best protect against cyber threats. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to attend\, please register your interest here.
